Our projects keep us immersed in what's going on around the commercial IT world, and we come across many useful resources. Mostly for IT professionals, but every now and then we discover something which is pitched at, and hopefully more relevant and helpful to, small to medium-sized businesses.
In the past we've tended to skim the information and move on, but a few Clients have mentioned that this sort of thing can be really helpful to them, especially if recommended by someone who should hopefully know what they're talking about!
So we decided to collect and gather what we hope will become a useful collection here. We'll be adding to it regularly so do try to visit again from time to time, maybe over a lunchtime desk-bound sandwich perhaps...
- Top 10 technologies for SMBs - we look at 10 technolgies SMEs should consider to save money and make their business more competitive.
- Choose And Manage Your IT Supplier - this has been ruthlessly and unashamedly plagiarised from the better-than-you'd-expect website of the government's Business Link quango. We don't deny stripping out quite a bit of civil service speak, but what remains is a good concise and in some cases thought-provoking little e-guide. See what you think...
- The ten rules of building a small business network - if called upon to assess IT requirements for small to medium-sized businesses, this is a good outline of the sort of approach we would take.
