The flaw is in versions 9 and 10 of Reader and Acrobat, as well as Flash, Adobe admitted.
Google has updated Chrome 7, bringing a few new features and security patches, while Mozilla has also fixed nine Firefox bugs.
Google now updates its browser every six weeks or so but not every release brings major new features.
"In this stable release, we’ve focused primarily on hundreds of bug fixes," said product manager Jeff Chang in a post on the Google Chrome blog.
Microsoft has admitted another vulnerability in older versions of its Internet Explorer browser, with attacks already taking advantage of the problem.
The flaw only affects IE6 and IE7, not IE8. Naturally, Microsoft has again advised users to upgrade to IE8.
Anyone still running the Windows 7 release candidate (RC) rather than a fully paid for version will face automated shutdowns every two hours from today, Microsoft has warned.
The release candidate is the version between the last beta and the final edition being released, so the code is nearly perfect. To encourage users to upgrade to the full version of the new operating system, the Windows 7 RC will start shutting down every two hours and not save your work.
Microsoft is urging customers to ditch the Windows 7 Release Candidate as the software nears its expiry date.
Although the Windows 7 RC officially expires 1 June, users will be hit with bi-hourly shutdowns from 1 March, making it impractical for day-to-day use.
Mozilla has admitted that Firefox 3.6 and Firefox 4 will miss their slated release dates.
Firefox 3.6 was originally set to launch by the end of December, but despite the release of five betas, Mozilla has been unable to iron out the bugs in time.
The browser has now been pushed back until the first quarter 2010, according to the Mozilla Wiki.
Windows 7 has become the biggest grossing pre-order product ever at Amazon.co.uk, according to the online retailer.
Amazon was among the select few retailers that began selling Windows 7 on pre-order back in July, offering the Home Premium version for as little as £45.
It now claims the operating system has racked up more pre-order sales than other big hitters, such as the Harry Potter novels and the Nintendo Wii.
Microsoft has revealed that Office and SharePoint 2010 will hit public beta in November.
"The public beta will open November. We don't have a specific date, we'll be announcing that much closer to the launch, but we're on track to deliver [Office and Sharepoint 2010] in the first half of 2010," Steve Marsh, SharePoint's UK Product Manager said.
Microsoft has announced a free, ad-supported version of Office 2010 that will ship with new PCs.
Office 2010 Starter Edition is a "reduced-functionality" version of the Office suite offering only Word and Excel, and "a simple path to upgrade to a fully-featured version of Office 2010 directly from within the product."

Microsoft is planning to make Windows 8 an 128-bit operating system, according to details leaked from the software giant's Research department.
The discovery came to light after Microsoft Research employee, Robert Morgan, carelessly left details of his work on the social-networking site, LinkedIn.
